PRINCE2® Foundation & PRINCE2® Practitioner

The PRINCE2® project management certification scheme has two main levels, Foundation and Practitioner. There is also the PRINCE2 Agile® ertification scheme which includes the PRINCE2 Agile Foundation and PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner qualifications.

PRINCE2 was developed as a UK government standard for information system

PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a structured project management method[1] and practitioner certification programme. PRINCE2 emphasises dividing projects into manageable and controllable stages.

It is adopted in many countries worldwide, including the UK, Western European countries, and Australia.

PRINCE2 Foundation Examination

PRINCE2 Foundation Examination

The PRINCE2 Foundation Level introduces the PRINCE2 method. The Foundation certification aims to confirm that you know and understand the PRINCE2 method well enough to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2. The Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.

Typically, classroom training for PRINCE2 Foundation lasts two and a half days and the examination takes place at the end of the training (this will vary depending on the training provider). You can also self-study for the Foundation exam and you may also choose to take training in another format such as distance learning. Training is delivered by AXELOS' Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) who set their own rates.
